Service Update – Details
Updated Sept 4, 7:10am MST
We want to keep everyone informed as we work through recent issues, in ORDER OF PRIORITY:
CURRENT TOP-PRIORITY PROBLEMS
❌ We are actively monitoring the occasional site drops and are applying fixes as we find hot spots in the code stressed by high traffic. Note that Tuesday 9/2 through Thursday 9/4, and the first couple NFL Sundays, are the highest traffic days of the entire season by almost double.
🖥️ Not a capacity issue – our servers and database have plenty of headroom, its all about finding inefficient queries in the code.
❌ Several tickets mentioned issues with Manager cost due for Premium Mode - Please ignore these while we investigate
❌ All Picks In - False positive - Not accounting for clones- fix in progress
LATEST FIXES
✅New Editor on Home and Rules page. WE APOLOGIZE THAT SEVERAL LEAGUES LOST THEIR TEXT.
✅Pickem Confirmation – This was momentarily broken due to All Picks In change not fully tested. We quickly reverted code when the problem was reported.
✅Survivor Standings – Inaccurate pot totals
✅Survivor Standings – "Weeks Alive" anomaly identified and under review
✅NCAA Lines not fully updating - Old ESPN feed is slow this week, so we are manually entering in the lines. We will be switching to a scrape we use for NFL that has been reliable for several years.

⚡ Database “storm” fixes – deployed and monitoring

🔔 Important: Our Help Desk is currently overwhelmed. Developers are focused directly on resolving issues. If a problem is already announced here, please do not open a Help Desk ticket — it will not be answered there.
We’ll continue posting updates here as fixes go live.
Feel free to submit tickets for other problems, questions or requests.
NCAA Week 1 Scheduling Anomaly (2025)
The problem
Historically, our platform did not include Week 0 games in NCAA schedules to avoid the case where a team appears twice across Week 0 and Week 1. During the migration to our new website, that exclusion logic didn’t make it over, which allowed a few teams to appear in both Week 0 (Aug 23) and Week 1 (Aug 28–30). Because picks are stored by team only (not a specific matchup), any Week 1 game involving those teams creates ambiguity about which game a player intended.
What we did:
- We removed the affected Week 1 games from the OfficePoolStop schedule.
- We voided Week 1 picks on either side of those games (they neither help nor hurt results).
- Pick’em (Pick-X): Voided picks do not count toward the X-pick requirement
- Confidence: Voided picks (and their weights) are ignored.
NOTE: You can see who your players picked and against whom in the Manager Control Panel, Player Logs.
Week 1 games impacted
Fresno State vs Georgia Southern
UNLV vs Sam Houston
Hawaiʻi at Arizona
Going forward
Before the next college season, we will determine whether to support Week 0 games, especially cases where a team also plays again in Week 1.
