Pop-up ads Problem and How to Fix


We had a manager notice a problem with pop-up ads on his mobile device that prevented him from using the site. Ultimately the manager solved the problem by paying us to disable ads for his league. This is of course always an option for managers, but we do not want this to be required to use the site; we do not want our ads to cause any navigation problems. We use Google adsense as our ad provider, which is the #1 ad service used by websites, and depend on them to present the ads in a non-intrusive and reliable fashion. AdSense does not own every ad on the internet. There are are hundreds of different companies that offer advertising, and thus, Google cannot control what happens with other ads.

Try uninstalling any apps or browser plugins you've installed that might come with ads. It's up to you ensure your browser and devices are clear of malware or virus. Run scans on your system.
 
If using a computer/laptop check your browser settings. Look for an adblocker.
 
If using a mobile device, uninstall apps that are free since most come with ads.

Turn pop-ups on or off
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app .
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap More Settings.
  3. Tap Site settings Pop-ups and redirects.
  4. Turn Pop-ups and redirects on or off.

If your phone isn't an Android device, ask at a help forum for your phone manufacturer.
